Editors’ Letter | Fall is almost here.

Hi friends,

So, it’s been almost four months since we relaunched this site—and we’re just getting started. Fall is almost here, which means snapping out of that heat-induced summer daze and enjoying what Atlanta has to offer as the leaves fall from the trees.

As it begins to cool down (and we finally bust out those tights and sweaters again), we’ll be profiling more local creatives and covering upcoming art openings, events and other happenings, including the Riverview Fall Festival at the end of the month, FLUX2012 in October [Read more about it here!], and the always delicious Chomp-n-Stomp in November. Plus, our DIY + DRINK column will inspire you to get crafty while it’s cold outside and help you whip up a homemade cocktail afterwards to reward yourself. (Hot Toddy anyone?)

We’ve been working closely with the awesome gals over at Birds of A Feather Creative to bring you our next giveaway: Two tickets to the Riverview Fall Festival Urban Hoedown on Friday, Sept. 28. The event will feature performances by The Constellations, Turf War and Sealions plus local brewers, hot air balloons rides (!), corn maze and food trucks, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

You might’ve noticed that we’ve also added a sponsor sidebar. We want to promote creative people and their businesses in every way possible, so if you think yours should be up there, please feel free to email us for rates and more info.

This is our favorite season, and we’re looking forward to showing you our favorite things to do during fall in Atlanta. Check out a sneak preview below and tell us about your own favorites in the comments. As always, we welcome feedback, ideas and contributions to keep making CommonCreativ better and better, so keep in touch— info [at] commoncreativatlanta [dot] com.
