TOP 5 | ARTLANTIS Arts and Music Festival

Founded in 2009, Beep Beep Gallery’s ARTLANTIS all-day outdoor festival returns to Druid Hills Baptist Church on June 2nd. Here’s why you don’t want to miss it:

+ Locals Only: Out of the plethora of summer festivals in Atlanta, ARTLANTIS is one of the only events exclusively featuring local artists and musicians. Get acquainted with talented up-and-comers in the area and take home some something affordable to adorn your wall.

+ Street Food & Vendor Booths: About 50 local businesses will be posted up to showcase their goods to the festival’s more than 1,500 expected attendees. You can even volunteer to assist artists, set up tents, man the welcome table or anything in between.

+ More Than Art: Get face-to-face to the people behind such buzzworthy projects as small press Vouched Books, indie art platform Dashboard Co-op, urban design house Streetela, science fiction series Nothing Is Beyond and more.

+ Bang Your Head: From fuzzy lo-fi to catchy post-punk, see local noteworthy music acts like Hip to Death, Faun and a Pan Flute, Ghost Bikini and more.

+ It’s $Free.99: In a city where parking at a restaurant often adds up to more than the meal and non-well drinks cost double digits, a gratis get-together is not to be taken for granted.

ARTLANTIS Arts and Music Festival is this Saturday, June 2nd at the Druid Hills Baptist Church (1085 Ponce de Leon Ave, 30306 ) from 10am-7pm
